Forming the Next Generation in the Faith
St. Andrew Sunday School meets during the school year, immediately after the Divine Liturgy. Classes are offered for children ages 3 through high school.
We have classes tailored to Pre-K, Elementary, Middle and High School, studying what our Orthodox Church teaches about the questions facing young people today, the celebration of the Feast Days throughout the liturgical year, and the story of our faith from the creation of the world onward.
Kh. Nora Bleam holds weekly music classes to teach the children the tones and troparia of the Feast Days. Our students take part each year in the Bible Bowl and the Creative Arts Festival at the Diocesan Parish Life Conference. We always have room for more.

Register Your Children
Registration takes about three minutes. It gives our teachers each child's age and class level, an emergency contact, and any allergy or medical note we should know about.

What Parents Ask
When and where does Sunday School meet?
Sunday School is held during Coffee Hour after the Divine Liturgy, during the school year. Children are dismissed to their classes before the rest of the parish and are brought back to their parents afterward, with younger children accompanied as needed.
What ages do you teach?
Ages 3 through high school. Classes are grouped Pre-K, Elementary, Middle School, and High School so the teaching fits the age of the child.
Are the teachers background checked?
Yes. All Sunday School teachers are background checked.
Do we have to be Orthodox to enroll our children?
No. Visiting families and families exploring the Orthodox faith are welcome to bring their children. If you have questions about what your child will be taught, Fr. David and Heather Johnson are glad to talk with you first.
Can our children join partway through the year?
Yes. Children may join at any point in the year, and new families are welcome to visit a class before registering.
What else do the students take part in?
Kh. Nora Bleam teaches weekly music classes covering the tones and troparia of the Feast Days. Students also participate each year in the Bible Bowl and the Creative Arts Festival at the Diocesan Parish Life Conference, and the youth choir sings during Communion each Sunday.
